The production, in addition to traditional
beer and spirits, has expanded to
“ready to drink” cocktails.
Now a third production unit is on the
way, transforming a firehouse into a
third brewery, including a very apt pun:
from firehouse to brewhouse! Almost
1,000 m2 building space on a total area
of 34 ha, with restaurant, a bar, rest area,
two billiards and many football tables,
a bowling green and 20 TV sets. According
to John, "all to enjoy the beautiful
weather conditions and the incomparable
scenery."
And so what in the past was a unique
place that is quite rare to find, has become
one of the most common ones, just
like a shopping mall. It is the typical
American way of improvement, which
some interpret as degrading, while others
say is applying some old traditions
and iconic recipes to make the American
dream reality. We Italians know something
when we see polarizing homegrown
specialties, that can potentially
affect the product negatively, albeit
without questioning the intrinsic and
singular quality of its components.
In my long wanderings in search of the
"perfect beer," I came across particular
products, which at first sight did not
inspire much confidence, but which,
when tested were not so bad after all.
Leave your mind open to novelties and
once in a while you will be positively
surprised.
